Part 1: Real Learning
Brianne Thomas has spent more than 20 years in instructional design and L&D, working across industries, modalities, and just about every learning challenge imaginable. But her passion for learning started in an unexpected place: recruiting. She saw good people with incredible potential get passed over because they didn’t look perfect on paper or couldn’t quite nail an interview. Too often, they ended up in the “maybe another day” pile. You know, the pile where another day never really comes.
Brianne knew she’d rather help people build the skills and confidence to get where they wanted to go than watch their potential go unnoticed. That belief still drives her today. She loves meeting learners where they are, making complicated things understandable, and using relatable stories, real-life scenarios, and a little creativity to make learning actually stick. She’s a doer, a fixer, and someone who loves showing subject matter experts that even their most complicated ideas can become engaging learning experiences that deliver real results. After 20 years, she still believes learning should open doors, spark a little curiosity, and maybe even make people laugh along the way. Because learning doesn’t have to be boring, and people are so much more than the boxes they check!
Part 2: Real Fun
You should know: I’m a doer, a fixer, and someone who loves a good challenge! Give me an idea, and I’ll figure out how to bring it to life, probably taking it up a notch (or ten) along the way. I love trying new things, finding creative solutions, and making things happen. My entire life is basically one giant project plan, complete with checklists, deadlines, and a carefully organized calendar that runs the show. I may thrive in creative chaos, but trust me, there’s a plan for that chaos. And yes, I probably have a Pinterest board for it, too!
I laugh at:
Seeing a great idea come to life (seriously, actual tears of joy!), animals with squished faces, the never-ending supply of dad jokes my daughter insists on telling, a perfectly timed zinger, and a little good-natured roasting. I also laugh at myself, because I give myself plenty of material!
I’m entertained by:
A good crime drama with a wild plot twist I didn’t see coming, a little chaos that needs wrangling (I’m a fixer, after all!), and the challenge of turning someone’s “what if” into “look what we did!” Give me a mystery to solve, a problem to fix, or an idea to bring to life, and I’m all in.
REAL RESULTS:
I’m all about turning the “what if” into “look what we did!” Give me an idea, a challenge, or something that seems impossible, and my brain is already spinning with ways to make it happen, only bigger, better, and maybe a little outside the box. I love experimenting, finding unexpected solutions, and bringing a little creative magic to the practical stuff. I’m not afraid to throw out the playbook, try something new, or get my hands dirty to make it work. Of course, behind every wild idea is a carefully organized project plan, a color-coded calendar, and at least three checklists! Because for me, creativity is fun, but seeing an idea come to life and actually make a difference? That’s the good stuff. And yes, there might be happy tears!
